HIRANO SHEN-KUNG (HSK)

     Formerly called Modern Medical Chi-kung, HSK studies will enable students to examine and relieve poor health conditions without inquiry or physical examination.

            Shen-Kung is a compound word in which Shen connotes mind, awareness, connection, spirit and heart and Kung connotes skill.  HSK is a system that gets to the heart of the matter, a source for improving the health of the receiver. 

            In traditional Chi-Kung, Shen is the last and highest level of training. However, in Hirano Shen-Kung, Shen is the first level of training and all corrective applications stem from this to restore health. 

            In traditional medical Chi-Kung, the practitioner utilizes the breath and mind to channel the body’s intrinsic energy to merge with cosmic energy, then emits this compound energy to his or her unhealthy target.  HSK practitioners direct only Shen to the target to change the dysfunctional binary pattern, thereby improving heath and restoring biophysical symmetry. 

           In the four step seminar series, attendees will learn the basics, intermediate and advance level practice of HSK methodology. 

Level 1

1. Tuning in & turning on your Shen equipment: Mushin.

2. Yin & Yang methods of correction.

3. Part 1: Treatment of pain.

4. Treating oneself and others.

 Level 2

1. Shen-Shin state of awareness.

2. Part 2: Treatment of pain by dermatome, channels & points.

3. Enhancing movement of ordinary life, sports and performance arts.

4. Treating oneself and others.

Level 3

1. Control acupoints for front and back.

2. Part 3: Treatment of complaints by channels & points.

3. Treatment of aging issues for all ages part 1.

4. Treating oneself and others.

Level 4

1. Triad field of correction.

2. Free flow and advance methods.

3. Treatment of aging issues for all ages part 2.

4. Treating oneself and others.

Licensed Acupuncturists will receive 4 Continuing Education Units, and or PDA for each completed level, by the California Acupuncture Board and the National Commission for Certification of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) where applicable.

      HSK is the result of integrating ancient health restorative methods with modern science and acupuncturists and other medical professionals will discover the advantages of this when they integrate HSK into their practice.

      These seminars are also designed to help non-professionals without prior knowledge of western health sciences or Chinese medical theory to learn this method.  The education addresses all aspect of health entirely from an energetic view. 

      The student is taught to see everything from the point of view of Yin and Yang, a polarity intrinsic to energy and matter, linking and associating all seemingly separate issues into a simplistic whole.  The Yin and Yang together become both a key to understanding the most complex problem as well as it becoming its resolution.
